Heavenly Secret Gu Refined!
Shi Zhong keeps refining wealth Gu, still far from success. His blood clumps show he has improved. The multiple Immortal Gu he inherited make other Shi clan Gu Immortals envious, and are another reason they target him. Sensing it is time to feed those Immortal Gu, he finds he has too little food, having sold some of it earlier for refinement materials, and buys dragonfish instead. He checks You Chan’s stall first, trusting the number one seller as always, then finds Fang Yuan’s new stall selling dragonfish of matching quantity and quality that is drawing even more attention. A fellow buyer’s divine sense tells him Fang Yuan’s stall offers a bulk discount, cheaper the more one buys; Shi Zhong joins that buyer to purchase a hundred thousand dragonfish together, then the two split the goods and part. That buyer, in fact, is a Shadow Sect proxy rather than Fang Yuan himself, and there is no way to prove it in treasure yellow heaven. ch. 1475
The tactic is not Fang Yuan’s invention, but the effect is what counts: a larger stock draws attention, his reputation climbs slowly, and his handful of first buyers grows into a stream of repeat customers. His dragonfish are already high in quality, and the food path immortal formation will only raise it further. A high quantity of goods signals reliability; buyers favor a more reliable seller. Fang Yuan judges You Chan’s inaction correct, since his method cannot threaten her in the short term, and a tactic like his would greatly erode the larger earnings she takes. Neither side grows anxious: his method needs at least several and perhaps a dozen generations of dragonfish breeding to take effect, and time favors him the longer it drags on. Fang Yuan then visits the Gu refinement hall, where an exhausted Sixth Hair has brought heavenly secret Gu’s refinement to its final step. Sixth Hair deactivates the hall’s refinement formation, Fang Yuan takes it over, and white light condenses into a huge ring around him: the killer move heavenly light ring. He rotates the ring by will, then by gaze, then by breath, succeeding through six rotations before reaching a difficult seventh. The seventh rotation succeeds, and the ring shrinks into rank seven heavenly secret Gu, landing on Fang Yuan’s head. It is only his second attempt, after an earlier failure. ch. 1475
Fang Yuan examines the finished Gu: about half the length of an adult arm, thin and soft like a twig, and resembling a dragonfly at first glance. Seven feathered wings sit on each of its sides, thin and green like leaves, and it drifts through the air so slowly it seems to float. Surprised by the success, he guesses it may have come from his luck path methods and plain good luck. He declares that he has finally refined the heavenly secret Immortal Gu. ch. 1475
