Heaven attached fungi

Heaven attached fungi grows only in the immemorial nine heavens and is a common feature across those heavens, like the astral wind flying heavenly boar. It is a rank six immortal material that must grow on its own without foreign dao marks; other life forms and even rocks cannot exist there. A field of it therefore marks a place Gu Immortals treat as safe to rest, and Yu Yi Ye Zi leaves Wind Sweeping Building to collect some as a rare opportunity. Bi Chen Tian later judges that one such field was bait after a huge star cloud storm closes on the resting party. ^{ch. 1244}

In black heaven the fungi can appear as yellow-green growth like a giant carpet. The text restates it as a rank six immortal material unique to the immemorial nine heavens, requiring sterile ground with no other dao marks, life forms, or meteorites nearby. Ye Fan’s aurora bird killer move lands on a nearby patch and destroys the fungi there, leaving a tiny pit. ^{ch. 1409}
