Hatred Gu

Red Heart Traveler detects Qing Chou’s vital Gu as rank eight hatred Gu and confirms it is the one recorded in The Legends of Ren Zu. ^{ch. 2019}

A later Legends of Ren Zu stretch has Hatred Gu look similar to love Gu on the surface while naming itself Hatred Gu. It gnaws a heart to change that heart into a heart of hatred. When crushed it resurrects from the blood and grows larger, and it says hatred cannot be killed and that vengeance only breeds more hatred. It is like a curved blade without a handle. Drawn by lightning Gu’s anger, hatred Gu lends lightning Gu its own strength, and lightning Gu breaks the heavenly wind qi wall and shatters the whole of immemorial blue heaven. ^{ch. 2021} Reading this, Fang Yuan wonders whether hatred Gu and lightning Gu together could counter heaven path, and notes that the combination will not work without hatred Gu. ^{ch. 2022}

Underground, Nine Spiritual Fairy says she and Red Heart Traveler are minutes from forcefully refining hatred Gu. Then Qing Chou breaks out of their formation. She says, unsure of what she saw, that hatred Gu burst out with a trace of a rank nine Immortal Gu’s aura. On the battlefield Nine Spiritual Fairy states that hatred Gu created Qing Chou, that Qing Chou nourishes it, and that it is moving from rank eight toward rank nine. ^{ch. 2029} Qing Chou’s hatred Gu is now quasi rank nine, and when activated it amplifies Qing Chou’s strength across the board, above all its offensive killer moves. ^{ch. 2030}

Qing Chou uses hatred Gu to break free of a dream realm, and someone in the battle cries that The Legends of Ren Zu has a vague line that hatred has no dreams. Hatred Gu is still progressing towards rank nine in this battle, and Fang Yuan wonders whether, rather than hatred having no dreams, the dream realm was too small to stand against rank nine hatred Gu. ^{ch. 2033}

In Qing Chou’s restored memories, Qing clan’s first supreme elder says the clan had already broken through Divine Bean Palace’s defense with hatred Gu. Activated in a rank eight wood path Immortal Gu House with hatred Gu at the core of its hall, the clan’s killer move Qing Chou mutated into a soul beast with hatred Gu as its core. Since the chaotic battle began, Qing Chou’s mind has been in chaos because of hatred Gu. Its memories now return in full, and its mind clears. As Qing Chou faces Spectral Soul, the rank eight Immortal Gu Hatred in its body breaks through to become a genuine rank nine Immortal Gu, and Qing Chou turns into a giant with a huge rise in battle strength. ^{ch. 2056}

Lu Wei Yin later states Qing Chou’s core is hatred Gu formed through Divine Bean Palace under Genesis Lotus Immortal Venerable’s plot. Genesis Lotus’s plan was for Qing Chou to hold rank nine hatred Gu in the fate war. Inside Divine Bean Palace, Qing Chou had been raising hatred Gu and growing stronger until Fang Yuan helped Fang clan drive it away, which disrupted that process. ^{ch. 2083} Lu Wei Yin says the aura of rank nine hatred Gu has completely vanished and seems destroyed, though he cannot be certain whether Qing Chou is dead or alive. ^{ch. 2084} Hatred Gu is counted among history’s few rank nine Immortal Gu, one that cost Genesis Lotus Immortal Venerable hundreds of thousands of years of scheming before he succeeded. ^{ch. 2099}
