Flying Earth is one of the ten earths: an earth-vein island that moves through the earth vein as quickly as flying.
After rock pillars that held an island are destroyed, the island floats away along the earth vein so quickly that pursuing Gu Immortals cannot match it. Fang Yuan names it Flying Earth and tells Wu Shuai that in the previous life’s five hundred years, after the five regions became one and the earth veins merged, people called the resulting unique terrains the ten earths, listing Flying Earth among them with Earth Abyss, Earth Trench, Earth Tunnel, Earth Cave, Earth Prison, Production Earth, Formation Earth, Earth Treasury, and Tomb Earth. He says this island is one of the ten earths, formed from the earth vein, and that it can move in the earth vein as quickly as flying at a speed that cannot normally be matched. ch. 2058
Direction control
Fang Yuan has only heard of Flying Earth and cannot control its direction. Lu Wei Yin says Paradise Earth’s inheritance has a method to control Flying Earth’s direction and decide where it stops. He states that this earth vein travels along Western Desert toward Eastern Sea, then Southern Border and Northern Plains, and asks where Fang Yuan wants to stop. Narration also says that after the battlefield was destroyed, Lu Wei Yin guided Fang Yuan to this Flying Earth and escaped. ch. 2058
Mid-journey departure
Flying Earth continues to move within the grand earth vein. When they are on Flying Earth, because Lu Wei Yin has a method to control it he retains his value, and Fang Yuan is unwilling to kill him. Fang Yuan leaves mid-journey. Pursuers find that the Flying Earth Fang Yuan was on has already gone missing. ch. 2059

After Fang Yuan obtains Southern Border’s Paradise Earth true inheritance, he gains many earth path Immortal Gu, methods to search for immortal materials underground, and the ability to control Flying Earth. ch. 2094
