Raging Wave Rising Dragon Fire is the human flame among the three unique flames of heaven, earth, and human recorded in The Legends of Ren Zu.
Bai Ning Bing describes a lump of orange-yellow flames whose dao mark light resembles flying dragons, with surrounding seawater rushing outward as if afraid of the fire, leaving an expanding empty space. Ying Wu Xie names it from The Legends of Ren Zu. Bai Ning Bing is trying to subdue it as a rank nine immortal material. Ying Wu Xie says the flame is not wild, because Bai Xiang once subdued it, and that with Bai Ning Bing’s cultivation the chance of success is slim. ch. 1212
Body containment
Bai Xiang heavenly spirit tells Bai Ning Bing that using his own body to contain and subdue the fire is dangerous, with only a small chance of success, and that failure would turn his entire body to ash. The heavenly spirit then offers a Gu refinement method that uses the Gu Immortal as Gu material together with raging wave rising dragon fire. Success would take Bai Ning Bing out of the human race and make him a dragonman. ch. 1227

In The Legends of Ren Zu, a snowman tells Ren Zu that she has already conquered bright light glorious ring fire in the sky, azure divine stone furnace fire in the earth, and raging wave rising dragon fire in the sea. The snowman ranks the fire of love as lacking the chaos of raging wave rising dragon fire. ch. 1229
