Compound Killer Moves

Fang Yuan treats cultivating many paths as increasingly useful as he grows stronger. Against compound killer moves that fused many paths together, Gu Immortals who cultivated just a single path could not deduce or defend against them easily. ^{ch. 1755}

Jade Flow Pearl is a compound killer move of space path and refinement path. With refinement path, Fang Yuan’s refinement path dao marks are no longer a burden to the teleportation. That is the advantage of compound killer moves. They are much harder to deduce. Fang Yuan can deduce this one quickly because he has quasi-supreme refinement path attainment and the light of wisdom. ^{ch. 1769}

Fang Yuan creates Myriad Thought Sword Waterfall and Swordsman as compound killer moves. Myriad Thought Sword Waterfall uses wisdom sword Immortal Gu as the core and contains sword path. Swordsman contains sword path and human path. He creates Swordsman after becoming a human path grandmaster. ^{ch. 1821}

Most killer moves are based on a single path. Gu worms of other paths can only be supplementary even if they are mixed in. Five restriction profound light qi of rule path and time cutting edge of time path are examples of that single path form. ^{ch. 2065}

Compound killer moves use two or more paths primarily. Myriad Thought Sword Waterfall is formed from wisdom path and sword path. ^{ch. 2065}

Fang Yuan has many such killer moves: myriad dragon, yama, great thief ghost hand, myriad ghost sword dragon, and jade flow pearl. Myriad dragon is formed from enslavement path and transformation path. Great thief ghost hand is formed from soul path and theft path. Jade flow pearl is formed from refinement path and space path. Myriad ghost sword dragon is formed from the merging of ancient sword dragon transformation, myriad self, yama child, emperor yama, and familiar face, and each use expends four thousand soul path dao marks from his body. ^{ch. 2065}

These compound killer moves are much more powerful than single path based killer moves. Enemies have to consider two or more paths to think of a countermeasure, so they are much more difficult to resist. They are normally used by Gu Immortals who cultivated multiple paths. Qin Bai Sheng cultivated soul path and metal path and has burning soul supreme gold, a compound killer move formed from those two paths. Thunder Ghost True Monarch has them because she cultivated lightning path and soul path. Duke Long has them as well. ^{ch. 2065}

Because of conflicting dao marks, Gu Immortals who cultivated multiple paths are very rare, so compound killer moves are also very rare in the Gu Immortal world. Fang Yuan can cultivate many paths because of the sovereign immortal body, so he accumulated many compound killer moves. ^{ch. 2065}

Even so, these compound killer moves could hardly be used at the top level. The sovereign immortal body does not have conflicting dao marks, but the compound killer moves themselves have a large internal friction because of their own conflicting dao marks, which wastes power. Heaven path dao marks greatly improve that situation. When Fang Yuan uses compound killer moves like myriad thought sword waterfall, the reduced internal friction increases the power by several times. Over three thousand heaven path dao marks still cannot remove this internal friction completely. ^{ch. 2065}

Fang Yuan conceptualizes fire-wind wheel from wind path Gu with fire path Immortal Gu as another core, so the move has burst speed and can also become faster. In other Gu Immortals’ hands, internal friction between wind path and fire path would drop a rank seven move’s practical results to rank six level. ^{ch. 2072}

Heaven path dao marks greatly reduce that internal friction. The difficulty of deducing compound killer moves falls greatly for him. An ordinary wind path cultivator would not choose fire path Immortal Gu as another core. At most they would use a few other paths’ low rank Immortal Gu as supplementary, or use countless fire path mortal Gu to reduce internal friction, which would add too many Gu worms and raise the difficulty of activation. ^{ch. 2072}

Fang Yuan can conceptualize compound killer moves with not only dual cores, but three cores, four cores, and more. Compound killer moves have to consider internal friction, which caused their number in history to be far fewer than single path killer moves. Single path killer moves have always been orthodox and the most mainstream. ^{ch. 2072}

The pure dream clone does not have the sovereign immortal body, so he cannot use Fang Yuan’s compound killer moves. ^{ch. 2090}

Fang Yuan’s ability at modifying compound killer moves is limited to usual killer moves and battlefield killer moves. When he uses those, all the Gu worms are inside the sovereign immortal aperture. With the amplification of the unrestrained heavenly marks, he can unleash the might of a compound killer move. After he captures an immortal aperture, he deactivates a compound battlefield killer move before leaving. ^{ch. 2107}

Ancient battle formations, Gu formations, and Immortal Gu Houses have their Gu worms in the outside world. Without an environment of unrestrained heavenly marks, even if these methods were turned into compound killer moves, there would be no effect. ^{ch. 2107}

Fang Yuan still cannot improve totem killer moves into compound killer moves. When totem killer moves are used against enemies, they have to leave the sovereign immortal body and are no longer under the protection of unrestrained heavenly marks. He estimates that when his heaven path attainment increases, he may use heaven path dao marks with totem killer moves to create compound totem killer moves. ^{ch. 2140}

There are many killer moves that seemingly involve many paths but have no substance in essence. When Thieving Heaven Demon Venerable fought Limitless’ will, he used a killer move that imitated other paths’ strength. The essence was still one path. To deal with it, only theft path needed to be targeted. ^{ch. 2185}

Seven kills rainbow genuinely contains the strength of seven paths: metal, wood, water, fire, earth, wind, and lightning. To block it, those seven paths have to be considered at once. One aspect of the trouble is the difficulty of defending against compound killer moves. ^{ch. 2185}

Fang Yuan’s killer moves cannot be returned by Humble Reciprocation. They are compound killer moves that only Fang Yuan with his sovereign physique could use, so Star Constellation Immortal Venerable has to target him herself. ^{ch. 2191}
