Travelling Doctor Jiu Zhi is one of Southern Border's four great doctors, named with Doctor Su Shou among the region's famous healers.
While bathing before Doctor Su Shou restores his burnt face in Shang clan city, Fang Yuan names Roaming Doctor Jiu Zhi to Bai Ning Bing and tells her she can ask Su Shou later about the Yin Yang rotation Gu. ch. 271

A later list names the four as killer ghost doctor Chou Jiu, doctor Su Shou, travelling doctor Jiu Zhi, and divine doctor Sheng Shou. ch. 375
Disguise habit
Fang Yuan notes that Travelling Doctor Jiu Zhi likes to disguise himself as an old beggar and wander around aimlessly. ch. 385
