Bai Mo Xing is the Bai clan's number one elder and the clan leader's uncle, met near Bai Gu Mountain while the clan hunts under cover of a spirit spring search.

First meeting
He leads a small Bai group of four that senses two Gu Master auras and moves in. He first reads Bai Ning Bing as a young rank three genius, then looks past that glare to the quieter companion and concludes that person is the real lead of the pair. Fang Yuan, under the name Gu Yue Fang Zheng, greets him as a Gu Yue young master from Qing Mao Mountain. Bai Mo Xing challenges the claim that Qing Mao still stands, then hears that the mountain is already destroyed and that the pair is heading for Bai Gu Mountain. A nephew in that same group of four introduces him as Bai clan’s number one elder and as his uncle. He weighs whether they are demonic travelers or clan young masters whose deaths would make him Bai clan’s sinner, and he chooses to host them rather than kill them on the spot. ch. 215
Hunting cover and clan counsel
Bai clan’s surface story is an annual hunting tempering for young masters. The true motive, known to higher-ups such as Bai Mo Xing, is to find a spirit spring on Bai Gu Mountain and clear wild beasts for a clan move after Bai clan’s own spring begins to fail. ch. 215 ch. 216 After the banquet he and the clan leader confer in secret. He later watches Fang Yuan’s hunting through smoke images, names Charred Thunder Potato Gu as the method, and wrongly reads the refusal to lean on Bai Ning Bing as proof of an upright, non-scheming character. ch. 217
Rising stars he presents
At banquets he introduces Bai rising stars so the guests will mix with them. The four named rank three youths include his nephew Bai Mo Ting, ranked third in that day’s hunt; Bai Cao Shuai, ranked fourth; Bai Lian; and Bai Zhan Lie, whom the clan leader calls the number one youth expert. After Fang Yuan’s staged attention toward Bai Lian he excitedly reports the scene to the clan leader. ch. 217
Duel challenge
When Bai Zhan Lie provokes a duel, Bai Mo Xing arrives, rebukes the youth for rudeness to an esteemed guest, and argues that unequal cultivation makes a personal fight unfair. He accepts Bai Lian’s proposal to settle the contest through hunting teams with proportionate cultivation instead. ch. 218
Guest pressure
In a later secret talk he tells the clan leader that Fang Zheng will not trust them soon enough to hand over the spring’s location, and that they must keep manipulating and intensifying pressure. ch. 219
