Chapter 892

After the costly failed attempt on Yu Lu blessed land, Shark Demon still invites Tai Bai Yun Sheng and Fang Yuan, as Xing Xiang Zi, to a banquet at his home. He values Tai Bai Yun Sheng’s Immortal Gu and Fang Yuan’s wisdom path skill for the attempt to come. Shark Demon’s home is Shark Sea, a sea area of over three million square kilometers, similar in size to the South China Sea on Earth. Everything inside it, sharks, seaweed, seabed rock and seawater, belongs to him alone. As in Northern Plains, where fertile grassland is split among people, Eastern Sea distributes its richest sea areas the same way, and though an immortal zombie, Shark Demon has the immense strength to hold this one. The failed Yu Lu attempt has already cost the couple a huge sum in wasted investment, but success next time would return ten times as much or more, an early expenditure only veteran experts like them can afford. This blend of battle strength and social skill is why Zombie Alliance gave the couple such an important mission after much competition. ^{ch. 892}

During the banquet, Shark Demon makes his palace ceiling transparent to show off the sharks he raises: divine spear sharks, spear headed and fearless, that smash paths through underwater rock wherever they charge. Shattering teeth golden sharks are the most numerous, forming groups of two to three hundred, each mouth lined with six rows of teeth that let nothing small escape. Silver scale great treasure sharks are the largest of the three, the size of small whales yet astonishingly fast, and the most predatory, preying on other sharks rather than fish, though they leave the two stronger kinds alone while food is plentiful. The sharks impress both guests. Shark Demon, pleased, admits his sea area is ranked only forty sixth among Eastern Sea’s sea areas. ^{ch. 892}

Above his own sea area he names the elegant splendorous sea area, the flourishing bumpy sea area, and a Song clan Gu Immortal’s, Song Yi Shi’s poetic emotion sea area. He then describes three of Eastern Sea’s ten great sea areas: Rainbow Island’s many colored rainbow sea area, the boundless forest sea area whose trees stand thousands of meters tall and breach the surface, and the mermen sea area. Countless mermen live there with incredible strength, one of Eastern Sea’s top ten super forces, and by his account the females are extremely amorous. Shark Demon then offers each guest gifts. Su Bai Man explains that he rarely invites guests, but when he does they must catch their gifted sharks themselves, how many and which kind decided by their own ability. Shark Demon sets the terms: seven minutes, and no leaving the palace. ^{ch. 892}

Fang Yuan at once recognizes the famous shark fishing banquet from his previous life, and once fishing begins, judges that the three showcased shark types do not suit him. In that earlier life, by the time he reached Eastern Sea, Shark Demon and Su Bai Man had already died of an unknown cause, and this sea area had passed to Zhu Xing Bo, who copied the same banquet game. The sharks he actually wants, blood fiend sharks for Hu Immortal blessed land and star mark sharks for Star Form blessed land, are far scarcer here. Both are less fierce than the divine spear, shattering teeth golden and silver scale great treasure sharks that dominate this sanctuary. Confined inside the palace, he cannot hunt them and gives up on both. He does not want the showcase sharks either, since two months of accumulation have already given him five to six hundred immortal essence stones, too much wealth to bother with so small a gain. He is also not skilled at capturing beasts, and spending an immortal killer move on anything short of a desolate beast would be too wasteful. ^{ch. 892}
