Star Thought Gu
Dong Fang Yu Liang watches the rain from his study and sighs that the assassination has failed. He had paid a hefty price to capture a shark fin wolf, marked it, and planted a rank five soul explosion Gu inside it. He then sent Bian Si Xuan, the demonic path assassin known as Shadow Sword Expert, with the Gu to activate it, after simulating the plan until no flaw remained. Wolf King Chang Shan Yin sensed something amiss and ordered someone else to strike, and with the chance slipping away she had to set off the soul explosion Gu. He escaped at the first moment. ch. 505
Held back by her attacks, he reached only the furthest range, but he stayed extremely calm and used the reinforcements as a shield to block most of the blast. On hearing her report, Dong Fang Yu Liang raises his opinion of the Wolf King, whose vigilance, calm and use of an ally as a shield he notes. His heart grows heavier. ch. 505
Standing among the shadows in a corner of the study, Bian Si Xuan tells him not to worry. She says Chang Shan Yin was still within range of the soul explosion and carries her brain explosion Gu, which will greatly affect his battle strength even if it does not kill him. She says he is basically crippled. Dong Fang Yu Liang, who has never heard of this Gu, listens to its origin and thanks her for the trump card she lost. Many of her assassinations had succeeded through it, but she could not kill her target on the spot to retrieve it. ch. 505
He offers the rank four overlapping shadow Gu he promised as her reward. She shows some desire for it, since it would let her stack her sword shadows into a strong attack, but she declines for now. The alliance leader may keep it until after the Wolf King dies, she says, and she vanishes into the shadows. He returns it to his aperture and wonders whether the brain explosion Gu will fail, since Chang Shan Yin chose to let it into his ear while dealing with the soul explosion, which suggests a countermeasure. Still, he reckons the Wolf King was indeed affected by the soul explosion, and with more variables he needs new deductions. ch. 505
He opens a secret tunnel beside the bookshelf to an earth bacteria king Gu he planted, a Gu house. After he enters and closes the exit, it sinks a few meters. Inside, he injects rank five primeval essence into his star thought Gu and asks how to deal with the Wolf King if he resolves the brain explosion Gu. The question becomes a thought giving off blue starlight above his head. Three ways against an enslavement path Gu Master follow: master against master, beheading the leader within his army, and assassination, bribes or kinship. ch. 505
He recalls everything about both armies and the battlefield. Thousands of star thoughts burst out at once. His primeval sea falls drastically as he makes them collide, fuse and split in completely focused effort. After four hours only eight fist-sized star thoughts remain, and reading them gives him several organized methods against the Wolf King. After recovering with primeval stones he repeats the deduction, spends an hour, and finds very similar answers with minute differences. ch. 505
Primeval stones restore his essence to its peak, but fatigue remains in his soul. Deductions spend the soul’s energy, and harder ones could damage it or even kill him. He uses rank four refine essence spirit Gu, which turns the vitality of his body into soul resources, thinning him at once and clearing the fatigue until a strong hunger follows. Laughing bitterly, he notes that this secretly passed down Gu of his tribe heals the soul well but not the core of the issue. With guts Gu he could deduce as he wished and heal any damage, but it can only be found on Dang Hun mountain. ch. 505
