Time Path Grandmaster
Fang Yuan fails three times in the time path dream realm to activate shrink time, a rank six killer move that supplements time cutting edge. Each injury cuts his soul foundation, so his thirty million man soul falls to twenty nine million six hundred thousand. Shrink time is very valuable for other time path killer moves too. He heals with a guts Gu but has few, so he stops his soul path cultivation. His sole remedy is repairing Dang Hun Mountain, now about thirty to forty percent restored and not yet able to produce guts Gu. He plans to enter the River of Time soon for Red Lotus’ true inheritance, hoping it will let him resist Heavenly Court and stop fate Immortal Gu from being repaired. ch. 1597
On the next attempt he succeeds and grasps shrink time. The dream version might not work in reality, but the light of wisdom could fix that. The stage is cleared, and his time path attainment rises until he is a master approaching grandmaster. In the second stage he practises time cutting edge, which is even more difficult and complex than myriad self had been. Each injury also shaves off lifespan, but his many lifespan Gu make that no issue. After four injuries he uses it once in the dream, which is enough to reach the third stage. ch. 1597
The old man appears again and says Fang Yuan has learned time cutting edge after six years but must test it in battle. He orders Fang Yuan to kill Li Xin, a rank seven Gu Immortal suppressing chaos from ancient desolate beasts in the south. Fang Yuan frowns slightly, having only rank six cultivation under this identity. Li Xin calls him a lingering member of Bo clan, and dark red flames surge at him like a huge wave. Fang Yuan activates the time path Immortal Gu in his aperture, but the flames engulf him and he dies in battle. ch. 1597
Having no other formulated killer moves, Fang Yuan resolves to counter offense with offense using time cutting edge. On entering again, he does not dodge the flames, and the thin flying blade he forms kills Li Xin despite the defensive methods covering him. Li Xin falls asking what the killer move is. Fang Yuan is deeply shocked, judging that the move could easily kill a rank seven and seems strong in real life too. The dream realm dissipates, the third stage is passed, and Fang Yuan becomes a time path grandmaster. ch. 1597
