Blood Torrent is Fang Yuan's blood path immortal killer move built around blood asset Immortal Gu. He keeps the name after heavy deduction and uses it for travel that can change direction.

Design
The river’s speed can rise with more mortal Gu, but its linear speed cannot match rank seven sword escape Immortal Gu while blood asset Immortal Gu stays rank six. He deduced the move to travel while changing direction and cover sword escape Immortal Gu’s straight-line flaw, planning to alternate the two. Blood torrent is a blood path killer move and sword escape Immortal Gu is sword path; other Gu Immortals would lose out using both, but his sovereign immortal fetus body keeps dao marks of all paths from interfering, so he can alternate without weakening either. With blood asset Immortal Gu as core and mortal killer moves from five hundred years of previous life, he creates three blood path killer moves: life staking blood print, blood healing lake, and blood torrent. Only one can run at a time while he has that single blood path Immortal Gu. He practices and modifies the move, then removes mortal Gu rather than adding them so activation stays fast in the short window after sword escape Immortal Gu stops. ch. 1061
Chu Du chase
When sword escape Immortal Gu cannot outrun Chu Du, he stops it, wraps himself in a blood river, and activates blood torrent, then turns aside; reducing mortal Gu lowers failure chance and speeds the cast. Chu Du’s own flight also struggles with direction changes more than Fang Yuan expected, so alternating blood torrent and sword escape Immortal Gu lets him face that chase. ch. 1062
Cloud cover travel
Later, while fleeing under heaven’s will pressure, he activates the move with blood asset Immortal Gu as core and mortal Gu as assistants, rides a river of bloody water through cloud cover, then drops the cast outside the clouds because open blood path display draws attack. A practice modification moves the circling mortal Gu into a spiral inside his immortal aperture so they are harder to destroy, but the long bloody river and foul smell remain eye-catching, so without cloud cover he prefers sword escape Immortal Gu. ch. 1086
