Righteous Gu can be used only by a Gu Master with a righteous heart. Its aura weakens enemies according to their willpower.
Tie Xue Leng wills a Gu in his aperture on Qing Mao Mountain, and a formless aura erupts, radiating and engulfing the wolf packs around him. That Gu is Righteous Gu. ch. 170
Effect
The righteous aura weakens vile creatures. Within its range, the lower the enemy’s willpower, the stronger the weakening. Tie Xue Leng had once used it to make a rank four Gu Master lose fighting strength and surrender completely, subduing an enemy without fighting. Against the lightning wolves, their limbs tremble under the pressure and they do not dare move forward. ch. 170
Cave fight
It is a mind-type Gu. Villainous people, or people with weak minds and aspirations, often collapse in battle spirit under it, convinced they cannot defeat Tie Xue Leng. The effect varies. It attacks the mind directly, sometimes with great result and sometimes with none. Times when it does not work are almost nonexistent. Even righteous people feel a strong suppression, because faction does not fix a person’s kindness or evil. People who committed great sins waver under it. Tie Xue Leng has also met demonic Gu Masters whom the righteous aura did not affect. ch. 184
Fang Yuan is one of those exceptions. The suppression has no effect on him. Tie Xue Leng, who has used the Gu for many years, concludes that only a person with real demonic nature in the deepest part of the heart can commit sins and still treat them as natural. The same aura makes bladewing blood bat Gu frantic and barely able to stay in the air, and it slightly lowers the blood river python’s head, then later triggers that python’s ferocity instead of suppressing it. While the power still surrounds the cave, the bats fly around at random and do not hunt Fang Yuan. ch. 184
