Used alone, the Gu can defend one’s back. The divination tortoise is a wisdom path ancient desolate beast skilled at defending against deductions; Fang Yuan plans a transformation into that beast to raise that defense far above using this Gu alone. ch. 1298

Killer move use
The private add-on that closed the rank gap was a hundred years of lifespan Gu. Soon after obtaining it, Fang Yuan activates the new divination tortoise shell Immortal Gu with change form Immortal Gu as immortal killer move Divination Tortoise Transformation. Without many mortal Gu the effect is weak, but change form still lets him take the form. ch. 1300 After further deduction he completes a battle-ready version whose only two cores are rank seven divination tortoise shell Immortal Gu and change form Immortal Gu, combining transformation path and wisdom path. ch. 1302
