Bear Strength Gu

Among Qing Mao Mountain’s three clans, Bear Strength Gu is the Xiong clan signature the same way Moonlight Gu is Gu Yue’s and Stream Gu is Bai’s. Fang Yuan expects that once the three clans form an alliance and open a battle merit board, those three signature Gu would not be exchangeable for merit points. ^{ch. 123}

Bear Strength Gu sits with Moonlight Gu and Stream Gu as the same kind of clan foundation Gu: not a well-known natural species, but a unique Gu the clan develops, so outsiders cannot fully decipher that clan’s strength. Such clan Gu are new species created through reverse fusion rather than wild finds. ^{ch. 157}

Honey is Bear Strength Gu’s food. Fang Yuan notes that fact when he finds a beehive, and ties the Xiong family’s strong demand for honey to that feeding need. ^{ch. 65}
