Fang Yuan against Ju Kai Bei

Ju Kai Bei’s dragon-elephant huge strength comes and goes as habitual strength Gu slowly refills it, an accumulate-and-discharge design that leaves gaps between its bursts; Fang Yuan’s all-out effort Gu draws continuously instead, and bitter strength Gu means the more he is hurt, the more of his eight beast phantoms he can hold open at once, healed as fast as self-reliance Gu can manage. ^{ch. 318}

Cornered by a fight he might lose, Ju Kai Bei commits his killer move, djinn transformation: three rank four Gu combine to triple his size, strength and mental energy at once, turning three dragon-elephant strength into nine; the same surge also breaks armor his enlarged body cannot keep covered, a gap that hard qi Gu covers instead. ^{ch. 319}

Fang Yuan’s own committed answer removes his weakness at range: strength qi Gu turns his eight beast phantoms solid, able to attack directly instead of only lending strength through his own fists, at a cost of forty percent of his snow silver primeval essence to hold all eight at once. ^{ch. 320}

The eight solid phantoms encircle djinn transformation’s tripled bulk from every side and break its armor, and Ju Kai Bei, unable to close on Fang Yuan even at three times his size and never having expected Fang Yuan to hold a Gu he had searched years for himself, surrenders. Narration says Ju Kai Bei’s own nickname, half the sky of the battle stage, no longer holds what Fang Yuan has become, and that his reputation tears through the sky. ^{ch. 320}
