Ma tribe and Song tribe officially start their battle after both sides erect three to four defense lines. From Ma tribe’s main tent, Ma Shang Feng sees Song tribe’s dense formation surging with battle intent and judges Ma tribe stronger, but not an easy win. When Cheng Hu challenges, rank four Su Yi flies out of Song tribe army and fights him; Cheng Hu’s full tiger transformation later bites Su Yi’s head apart for Ma tribe’s first victory, and Song tribe’s higher-ups are moved while Ma troops rejoice. ^{ch. 523}

Ma tribe breaks two Song tribe defense lines in a row. Alliance leader Song Qing Yin leads a counterattack ambush that forces Ma tribe to give up a line, then Ma tribe enslavement master Ma Zun surrounds and kills her in the air with his pegasus group. Song tribe army becomes a headless dragon, crumbles after Ma tribe stirs internal discord, and Ma tribe annexes most of the tribes while remnants flee. ^{ch. 525}
