A middle sized Central Continent sect based on Five Virtues Mountain. In the past its leader had been an elder of Heavenly Lotus Sect, and it is a large influence in its surroundings.
Appearance
Five Virtues Mountain is not tall and sits in the eastern part of Central Continent as the sect base. The sect entrance is a tall archway of sixteen huge columns, about ten meters wide and taller than a five-storey building, with a plaque of three giant words shining with golden light that read Five Virtues Sect, and six magnificent stone lion statues under the archway. Behind the entrance a wide staircase of finest blue jade stones climbs the mountain like a blue river under green trees. ch. 828
Part way up, a huge platform on the mountain wall bears the engraved words Disciple Selection Stage. Wood virtue hall sits hidden in the woods, green and mixed with the surrounding grass and trees, with tables and chairs inside. ch. 829
Size and backing
Heavenly Lotus Sect is one of the ten great ancient sects, a super force. Thus, although Five Virtues Sect has not been established for long, nearby established forces do not dare to sideline or suppress it. Five Virtues Sect and Flying Frost Sect fought for the mouth of a spring, and Five Virtues Sect barely won while Flying Frost Sect took severe losses. ch. 828
Convention sign-up
Five Virtues Sect is one of the signing up locations for Central Continent’s Refinement Path Convention, and it takes that role in order to recruit talent. Disciples pass out numbered tokens, an elder runs the four entry tasks, and elite disciples manage sign-up in the halls. Most Convention sign-up sites are sects like this one: abundant in strength and closely linked to the ten great ancient sects, or else one of those sects’ representatives. After Fang Yuan finishes the entry tasks, an elder ordered by the Five Virtues Sect Leader tries to invite him as an external elder. Fang Yuan refuses before the offer is spoken, calling the sect unable to accommodate him. ch. 829
Sect leader greeting
The sect leader greets him, apologizes for that elder, and hints at recruitment in a tactful tone. Fang Yuan refuses again. The leader still sends him out politely, which Fang Yuan reads as strong background and foresight in the person who created this force. ch. 830
East coast contests
Eliminated Gu Masters from the large-scale contest can enter small-scale east coast competitions jointly held by Flying Frost Sect, Five Virtues Sect, and others. ch. 832
Local standing
Flying Frost Sect has no Gu Immortals and is not a super force, yet within a huge surrounding area it is the supreme overlord, and the only force that can contest it is Five Virtues Sect. ch. 956
