Five Virtues Mountain

Appearance

The mountain is not tall. Streams of people move around it. The sect entrance has an archway of sixteen huge columns, about ten meters wide and taller than a five storey building, with a plaque of three giant golden words naming Five Virtues Sect and six magnificent stone lion statues under the archway. Behind that entrance a wide staircase paved with the finest blue jade stones climbs like a blue river under the shade of green and verdant trees, with mountain winds bringing cool air. ^{ch. 828} Part way up, a huge platform on the mountain wall bears the engraved words Disciple Selection Stage. Wood virtue hall sits hidden in the woods, green and mixed with the surrounding grass and trees. ^{ch. 829}

Seat and sect

The mountain is not tall. It is located in the eastern part of Central Continent. Five Virtues Sect based there is a middle sized sect and a large influence in its surroundings. Its past leader had been an elder of Heavenly Lotus Sect, one of the ten great ancient sects, which is why nearby forces do not dare to sideline it even though the sect has not been established for long. ^{ch. 828}

Refinement Path Convention sign-in

Five Virtues Sect is one of the signing up locations for Central Continent’s Refinement Path Convention, used in part to recruit talent. Part way up the mountain, a huge platform called Disciple Selection Stage holds the four entry tasks that qualify Gu Masters to sign up. After those tasks, Fang Yuan signs up in wood virtue hall, then enters fire virtue hall for the first refinement round on the mountain. ^{ch. 829}

He takes first place in that round by refining water light Gu and receives green shine Gu. The Five Virtues Sect leader greets him afterward and hints at recruitment; Fang Yuan rejects him and leaves. ^{ch. 830} Five Virtues Sect jointly holds small-scale east coast competitions with Flying Frost Sect and others for Gu Masters eliminated from the large-scale contest. ^{ch. 832}
