White silver primeval essence is the rank three form of a Gu Master's aperture essence. It is denser than red iron essence and powers rank three work.
Only rank three Gu Masters produce white silver coloured primeval essence. Essence is green copper at rank one, and red iron at rank two; at rank three the colour becomes white silver. ch. 22 ch. 26 The academy elder shows this when he pours a fine thread of white silver essence into Moonlight Gu during the moonblade lesson. ch. 22
Density
Essence grows more concise as rank rises. One portion of red iron equals ten portions of green copper, and one portion of white silver equals ten portions of red iron. ch. 26 How the aperture holds that sea at all is covered on aperture and primeval essence and primeval sea.
Rank three use
Cultivation at rank three possesses white silver primeval essence. A rank three Gu Master can pour that essence into a Gu to activate it: when Bai Ning Bing channels white silver essence into Sky Canopy Gu, white light armor covers her body. ch. 202
Beside yellow gold
Yellow gold primeval essence at rank four is higher quality than white silver and nurtures the aperture more strongly. ch. 275
Stages inside rank three
Within rank three the silver shade deepens by stage. Initial stage essence has only a thin silver colour and is called light silver. Middle stage varies in how much silver shows and is called blossom silver. Upper stage shines as bright silver. Peak stage is snow white silver and is called snow silver primeval essence. ch. 312
