A rank nine Gu Master stands at the top of the universe in that era’s legend. Spectral Soul Demon Venerable is named as the rank nine Gu Immortal with the greatest killing nature among Immortal Venerables and Demon Venerables. ch. 422
Venerable level
Over more than three million years, ten Gu cultivators stand at the peak as the ten rank nine Gu Immortals, the ten great venerables. Those figures occupy rank nine venerable as their cultivation level; venerable is that rank nine level, not a step past it. Each great era has only one venerable. ch. 2085
After rank nine
After becoming rank nine, calamities and tribulations become even more terrifying. Venerables face a grand tribulation every ten years, a myriad tribulation every fifty years, and a chaotic disaster every one hundred years. ch. 2209
