Chapter 456

The old Ge tribe leader hesitates, not from fear of death, since his cultivation is stagnant and he no longer cares about life and death. Ge tribe’s era is over, but it is not destroyed completely. He demands what they are waiting for, warns that the night wolves are slaughtering their parents, friends, wives and children, and says that he, an outsider named Chang Shan Yin, has felt the intense love among them. He vows to charge for a chance of survival for everyone and challenges the males to draw their sabres before their watching ancestors. The elders look at him deeply, shocked. ^{ch. 456}

Ge Guang trembles, activates his sabre Gu, and swears to follow the Wolf King to the depths of hell. Hot-tempered elders shout out in shame, and more join until battle to the death rings through the tent. Even elders who did not want to fight volunteer. They fear being called cowards for life. The old leader, who judges the plan unreliable and fears Man tribe’s scheming and the myriad wolf king’s escape, sees that hesitation is useless. He bows deeply to Fang Yuan, calls him a true hero, and entrusts Ge tribe’s future to him. Fang Yuan sees that the leader means to sacrifice the wolf group to shield the Gu Masters, but a little sacrifice is no big deal, and obtaining the myriad wolf king would be a huge gain. ^{ch. 456}
