Chapter 1876

Fang Yuan secretly offers to find a way out and bring Thousand Transformations Ancestor along if he gets mutation Immortal Gu as the reward. The Ancestor coldly answers that he will spare Fang Yuan’s life if the way opens and the Gu comes back. He reads the theft as a sign that Fang Yuan has nothing to fear, and his intense anger earlier was real but afterward mostly acting. After a long deadlock among the three sides, a large force charges in with four Immortal Gu Houses led by Divine Bean Palace. Fang Di Chang, the second supreme elder of Fang clan, controls the palace and uses myriad life spring lightning on Heavenly Court’s four Immortal Gu Houses. The houses shake intensely as vines grow out and infiltrate them. Heavenly Court’s Gu Immortals realize that only Fang clan, Tian clan, Dong clan, Shi clan and Tang clan have come, the last four gathered quickly and quietly by Fang Di Chang to work with his main body. Fang Di Chang leads the allied forces against Heavenly Court. When Xing Ye Wang calls them the shame of the righteous path, Fang Di Chang answers that Heavenly Court took in the Western Desert demoness Wan Zi Hong, and Xing Ye Wang is left speechless. Wan Zi Hong orders a retreat, and Heavenly Court withdraws in order. Fang Di Chang forbids a chase, which relieves the Gu Immortals, who do not want losses so huge that other Western Desert super forces benefit. ^{ch. 1876}

The allied forces leave, and the Western Desert Gu Immortals are extremely excited at having defeated Heavenly Court. Only Fang Gong is worried. As the first supreme elder reduced to an accompaniment, he feels immense pressure. Still, he will not let his internal conflict with Fang Di Chang harm Fang clan, even if he loses his authority. Fang Di Chang knows the battle brought no physical gains, yet Fang clan’s rise is undeniable, and the five clans begin to unite behind Fang clan.
