Phantom Path

Yan Jun enters an Immemorial Era phantom path inheritance and stays in closed cultivation for five years. ^{ch. 364} He later obtains an ancient phantom path inheritance and specializes in hiding and attacking as a rank four phantom path Gu Master. ^{ch. 395}

Mo Yao’s will explains that phantom path focuses on the forms of phantom and solid. From rank one to five, phantom is the foundation: Gu Masters use phantom form to avoid attacks, so they often lack attacking power but have ample defensive measures. From rank six onward, phantom path Gu Immortals turn between phantom and solid at will, using defensive phantom mode to nullify attacks and turning phantom into solid to strike when least expected. Flying bear phantom Gu is a phantom path Immortal Gu. Accompanying phantom path Gu worms, such as turn phantom Gu, truly complement it; turn phantom Gu lets the flying bear phantom shift from solid to phantom and evade attacks. ^{ch. 586}

Tu Shi Cheng names phantom path among the mainstream Gu Master paths created in the present era, alongside bone path and restriction path. ^{ch. 1323}
