Heavenly melody

What begins as an ordinary wind sound grows louder and more delightful until listeners slow, then stop, fully entranced. The sound has no instrumental component: it is pure wind, rain, thunder, bird chirping, and similar natural sounds composed into a beautiful melody that addicts listeners. Fairy Zi Wei recognizes it as the heavenly melody; prolonged listening leaves victims unable to activate Gu worms or killer moves, and continued immersion can cost their senses until they become floating corpses. Because of the heavenly melody, half of a nearby soul beast group is wiped out. ^{ch. 2269}

Feng Jiu Ge is unaffected by the heavenly melody and uses a mysterious method to contain and collect it. He is able to take the rank nine immortal material heavenly melody. He collects and stores the heavenly melody, then activates a killer move on the incapacitated immortals. Fairy Zi Wei judges that his motive was to get the heavenly melody, beyond the mysterious method used on them. ^{ch. 2269}

After encountering the heavenly melody and after Feng Jiu Ge left, Fairy Zi Wei plants her method at set intervals of travel, originally as a defense against the heavenly melody. ^{ch. 2270}
