Cloud phoenix fragment

Fang Yuan finds a soft immortal material that can be molded and at first seems like a fragment of cloud, yet holds a huge amount of cloud path dao marks. Moistened with water vapor, it lightens, floats, and shapes itself into a tiny phoenix cloud whose wings move as it dances. He recognises it as a fragment of the immemorial desolate beast cloud phoenix’s body. ^{ch. 936}

The cloud phoenix is not a five-regions lifeform. It exists in white heaven of the immemorial nine heavens: an ancient cloud that lasts ten thousand years there, then slowly becomes a living being after a phoenix’s aura or blood spreads through it, so its body is neither flesh and blood nor ordinary cloud. Fang Yuan’s fragment is less than a fraction of a fraction of the true body, but the cloud path dao marks inside can serve as the main material to refine a rank six Immortal Gu at least ten times. ^{ch. 936}

Fang Yuan lists the fragment of the immemorial desolate beast cloud phoenix’s body beside tiger-striped honey bee wings among precious materials he has obtained. ^{ch. 972}

Lang Ya land spirit identifies the same piece as a fragment of an immemorial desolate beast cloud phoenix’s body and as a rank eight immortal material. The living cloud phoenix can match rank eight Gu Immortals; gathering such material normally means killing one, so rank eight immortal materials rarely reach the market. Even Lang Ya blessed land holds very few of that tier. ^{ch. 975}
