Effect

The greater an item’s value, the brighter the Gu’s light. In Shang clan city, the battle stage uses it to evaluate Gu worms and judge a Gu Master’s strength. Beyond appraisal, it can also search for treasure, though its range is small and often needs other Gu worms to extend detection. ^{ch. 466}

Daoist Countless Treasures, treasure yellow heaven’s owner, used the Immortal Gu treasure light to find countless treasures and built the reputation behind that title. ^{ch. 466} Later text still names him history’s most authoritative appraiser Gu Immortal and ties that standing to his ownership of treasure light Gu. ^{ch. 495}
