A dead aperture is an aperture that has died with the immortal zombie state. It no longer produces primeval or immortal essence, cannot be managed as a living blessed land, and changes what pressure and storage it can endure.
After Fang Yuan turns into a zombie, his immortal aperture is a dead aperture, so he cannot treat it as a living blessed land he could swallow or rely on in place of Hu Immortal blessed land. His first aperture is dead silence, dry, and unable to produce primeval essence. The rock-like wall can handle more Immortal Gu pressure than a living rank five peak stage aperture would, though it still has a limit. It cannot be managed or developed like a normal blessed land, cannot ease feeding Immortal Gu, and cannot produce immortal essence, which puts a heavier burden on immortal essence stones.
