Imperial Minister Su

Narration names him the current dynasty’s Imperial Minister Su, a rank seven Gu Immortal of Profound Literature grotto-heaven. He consoles Su Qi Han that Li Xiao Bai is his son-in-law and that he will not let him die alone, then blocks pale green lightning balls with a bright rainbow from his robe while a masked Gu Immortal and Du Zhi Xiao interfere. He had wanted Li Xiao Bai to marry into Su clan, receive Su inheritance, ascend, and become a court official, and he is unhappy that Li Xiao Bai keeps wandering instead. After Li Xiao Bai succeeds, he names him Poet Immortal Li Xiao Bai, drops the court-official plan, and asks only that he not let down Su Qi Han. Li Xiao Bai answers that he will protect Han Er. ^{ch. 2120}

He inspects heaven’s envy Immortal Gu with information path methods and explains it as a heaven path Immortal Gu that normally cannot be activated even by a rank nine venerable, though envy and jealousy can resonate to activate it at a heavy lifespan cost. He tells Li Xiao Bai the Gu is his to deal with, including offering it to the Imperial Court for compensation, and later stares in disbelief when treasure yellow heaven returns a same-rank information path Immortal Gu for the trade. ^{ch. 2121}
