Huang Wan

When the dream identity shifts, Meng Qiu Zhen is a rank four Gu Master and finds that the bald youngster’s mother is a mushroomman. He takes this identity to be Huang Wan. She concealed her identity and lived in Tu clan village. She was expelled from the tribe, but her heart is with it, and she moves at night to save Huang Xiao Mi. The Gu worms on her cover attack, defense, movement, and healing, and some can combine into mortal killer moves. ^{ch. 2145}

She names herself to Huang Xiao Mi and uses a killer move to suppress the mushroomman plague in his body. His life force is almost depleted, and she cannot pull the mushrooms out casually, because that would consume his life as well. Later she uses a poison path killer move that gets rid of the plague, then gives him poison path Gu. After they have lived together so long, she has treated the bald youngster as her real son: killing him overwhelms her with sadness, guilt, and regret, and tears flow that cannot be stopped. ^{ch. 2146}

Huang Xiao Mi’s injuries are healed through her secret treatment. Her poison path killer move has no aura when used and is effective against rank three and below Gu Masters. In a later battle she conceals her appearance, spreads a wave of white poisonous smoke, and saves the bald youngster. A rank five human Gu Master, Tu clan village’s head, disperses the smoke and blocks her escape. She lands at the periphery holding the bald youngster. From this female Gu Master he senses a familiar yet foreign aura. ^{ch. 2147}

Tu clan village’s leader calls her Wan Er. She gets rid of her concealment and returns to her original appearance. The mushroommen recognize the previous generation witch. She was exiled because she had an affair with Tu clan village’s head and they had a son. She raised the hybrid in the village because the tribe would not accept him, and named him Le Tu so that people who live in the world would be happy and blissful. Le Tu had never seen his mother’s mushroomman form. Meng Qiu Zhen realizes that Green Beast is Paradise Earth Immortal Venerable. ^{ch. 2148}

A Tu clan rank four elder sneak attacks her with cracked soil shattering life. Caught off guard, she is sent flying and spits blood. The elder blames her for saving Huang Xiao Mi, saying his brother died at her hands. Mushroomman Gu Masters call her the person who saved their tribe from the plague. The village head’s cultivation is higher than hers. Injured, she is forced into killing a rank two Tu clan Gu Master, then takes three attacks and faints. Le Tu protects her. The village head takes mother and son away. In the next scene she is bound by chains that pierce through her bones, with no primeval essence left. ^{ch. 2148}

Tu clan village’s head wants the mushroomman tribe’s location and threatens her with her son’s life. In history she might not have exposed that location even after interrogation, torture, or that threat. In the dream she is Meng Qiu Zhen, who tries to tell the location and is not believed. Wu Xiao, called a famous doctor of Southern Border and one of the six great doctors, finds tight defenses: an abrupt soul search would dissipate her soul and badly poison the attacker. He uses a forceful soul search whose drawback is that the target goes insane, while insane words are truthful thoughts. She loses her mind completely. ^{ch. 2149}

Wu Xiao says this mushroomman’s will is too strong: even insane she became purer, and in her heart she will not betray her tribe even though they exiled her. Her replies are truthful and nonsensical. Fang Tu had received help from her and from Le Tu. Auntie Huang Wan is to be beheaded publicly. The tribe attacks the execution ground because she knows too many secrets to be left in Tu clan village. After the mushroommen win, Le Tu finds that she has already gone mad. She mistakes Huang Xiao Mi for her son, says she hid his identity and shaved his head because she was afraid his hair might grow into a mushroom cap, and forbids killing. Wu Xiao claims that if her wishes are not opposed, her mind may grow and recover. The dream ends without answering whether she was saved. ^{ch. 2150}
