An Xun is a rank seven soul path Gu Immortal of Soul Pacifying grotto-heaven, nephew of Lady Cold Ash, and the grotto-heaven's strongest prospect to rise beyond rank seven.
Lady Cold Ash leads a Soul Pacifying soul beast army toward Ice Crystal grotto-heaven with two rank seven male immortals. One is tall and thin, holds a bamboo staff, and calls her aunt while boot-licking her control of the army. She later leaves both rank sevens outside to watch the soul beasts while she enters the meeting. ch. 1969

Soul beast hunts
After resting in the grotto-heaven, he receives orders to hunt soul beasts again. Lady Cold Ash lets him command three thousand soul beasts with one immemorial soul beast as guardian, and her killer move lets him command that group with ease for twenty days. He is her nephew and the Gu Immortal with the best prospects to go beyond rank seven in Soul Pacifying grotto-heaven. She helps him secretly against An Chong so he can become the rank seven who receives the most support. ch. 1974
He leads the army into black heaven. After little early gain he fights a thousand-strong wild soul beast group, pays heavy injuries to kill an opposing immemorial soul beast, and nets about eight hundred soul beasts overall. When he relaxes, Spectral Soul enters his body, forces loyalty from the depths of his soul, and An Xun kneels and pays respects as master. ch. 1974
Missions under Spectral Soul
Spectral Soul secretly teaches him soul path profundities and creates killer moves matched to his Immortal Gu. An Xun’s strength rises and his capture missions complete at a high rate. Lady Cold Ash is pleased; below her, An Chong and An Xun are the leading rank sevens, and sending An Chong to Eastern Sea further clears An Xun’s path to become the nurturing target. ch. 1975
