Clear Jade Lightning is one of four variations of Wu Yong's immortal battlefield killer move Four Clear Transforming Winds. It strikes as dazzling blue bolts whose glare forces Fang Yuan to close ordinary eyes.
When wind blades fail against Fang Yuan and Feng Jiu Ge, the battlefield shifts. Peculiar thunder cracks, bright and sharp like knocking a gourd on a large hundred year old bamboo flute, then lightning bolts flicker down. Feng Jiu Ge warns that this is clear jade lightning. Clear jade lightning emits dazzling blue light, moves extremely fast, and is so glaring that Fang Yuan must transform his eyes into dragon eyes before he can face it. Bolts that hit Fang Yuan reflect through reverse flow protection seal and wreak havoc on the battlefield; bolts that near Feng Jiu Ge vanish into his own defensive methods. Wind path essence
Whether clear wind blades, clear jade lightning, clear jade dripping wind, or profound immortal sound, the essence of those variation moves is wind path; the Wu clan ancestor who created the battlefield could imitate other paths with wind, touching sword, lightning, water, and sound path. When Feng Jiu Ge sings Separation Song, the battlefield answers with all four variations at once, including clear jade lightning, layered over him. ch. 1391
