Star pupils

Star pupils are a rare material of the immemorial nine heavens and cannot be found in the five regions. They are an immortal material that originated from blue heaven. In blue heaven, stars rain endless stardust: some fragments are eight-sided, five-sided, seven-sided, or sixteen-sided, while edgeless round fragments gather starlight into an iris shape and are known as star pupils. ^{ch. 753}

Feng Jiu Ge offers ten thousand pieces of star pupils while competing for worldly wave trace Immortal Gu. The seller’s list asks for eight thousand edgeless stardust fragments; ten thousand is a deliberate counter against a rival bidder. Quality varies sharply: a fragmented star pupil and an intact star pupil have very different value. Lang Ya land spirit’s material list does not grade that quality, because collecting any star pupils already seemed hard enough. ^{ch. 753}
