Green Silk Gu

Caravan Gu Masters first show the name while leaving Qing Mao Mountain in heavy rain. Those pulling carriages or riding mountain spiders activate Green Silk Gu in their bodies, and their hair grows into a covering raincoat. ^{ch. 47}

Form and rank

It is a rank one Gu worm, often used for defense. ^{ch. 47} No cited chapter describes the Gu worm’s own body shape or colour.

Effect

Under its influence, hair grows furiously. A normal person’s hair has at least one hundred thousand strands. Those strands, each five to six metres long, intertwine and cover the Gu Master and the steed as an impenetrable hair raincoat. ^{ch. 47}

Activation costs 30% of green copper primeval essence. Unlike the One-stretch Golden Light Worm, that cost is not a continuous expenditure. On the same rainy march, other caravan Gu Masters choose Water Spider Gu instead, wearing a thin blue water raincoat that thickens under the rain. ^{ch. 47}

Advancement line

Green Silk Gu can combine with rank one Black Boar Gu into rank two Black Mane Gu. ^{ch. 47 ch. 64}

Black Mane Gu itself, when activated, involves hair on the head and on all pores, and within a few seconds gives the Gu Master a black mane protective armor. Its advancement path is the rank three Steel Mane Gu. ^{ch. 47 ch. 64}
