- The order of the ten and the era each belongs to come from fan sources. No chapter pinned by this wiki states the numbering, and the same caveat is repeated on every era page. What the novel does supply is the titles themselves: five Immortal Venerables and five Demon Venerables, a split that is about whether a cultivator serves the group or follows their own will rather than about good and evil.
- Path attributions are inferences of differing strength, not citations. Giant Sun's luck path rests on two chapter titles clustered around his inheritance ch. 604 ch. 760 . Red Lotus' time path rests on his name appearing sixteen chapters before the Spring Autumn Cicada gets a chapter of its own ch. 383 ch. 399 , and the Gu's own page carries the same hedge. Star Constellation's wisdom path is read from the shape of her chapter titles rather than from any statement ch. 1379 ch. 2266 . Reckless Savage's strength path rests on a single chapter in which the protagonist learns from him ch. 686 .
- Sources place the Giant Sun Immortal Venerable in the Medieval Era and in the Late Era, and neither offers a chapter. This wiki lists him on the Late Era page with the entry marked disputed, gives no year for him anywhere, and lays both positions out on his own page. Nothing in the Imperial Court arc depends on the answer.
- The Genesis Lotus Immortal Venerable appears in no chapter title in the index this wiki works from, which is not true of the other nine. His row therefore rests entirely on fan sourcing. The absence is on the record on the Medieval Era page.
- The soul path attribution for the Spectral Soul Demon Venerable comes from fan sources and from the English rendering of his name. No chapter title supports it, which puts it below every other attribution in this table. His page records it as fan sourcing rather than as an inference.
