Star Heng Dog is a long and slim dog breed in King Quan Inheritance, counted among the five great mountain dogs.
Star heng dogs walk out of the fog opposite Wu Shen Tong with the green hua, smoke song and light heng dogs. They are long and slim. The narration says they stand out from the crowd. ch. 386
Wu Shen Tong says star heng, green hua, smoke song and light heng all have differing specialties and stand on the same level. He says they are known collectively as the five great mountain dogs and can form a grand formation. The other army also has their respective dog kings. The text does not state the star heng dogs’ own specialty in these chapters. Fang Yuan then kills Wu Shen Tong from behind, and Bai Ning Bing walks out of the fog the army came from. ch. 386
Place in the formation
Over ninety thousand dogs stand on the mound before the bronze hall under Bai Ning Bing’s command. Gu Masters with good vision turn pale at the number of heavy tai, green hua, smoke song, light heng and star heng dogs. The five great mountain dogs form the inner circle of defense. Lightning symbol dogs, chrysanthemum akita dogs and other ordinary dogs form the outer defense. ch. 393
Defensive line
Charging Gu Masters meet the formation of the five great mountain dogs after crossing the common dogs. The narration calls the five very powerful and their circular formation very reliable, like a huge dam. It names star heng among them. ch. 394
