Night heavenly wolves are long, slim, furless desolate beasts in tough black leather armor that run in groups in black heaven, one of which numbers over ten thousand under ancient desolate beast wolf kings and a wolf emperor with rank eight battle strength.
A night heavenly wolf group howls and chases after the three Immortal Gu Houses in black heaven. The wolves have long and slim bodies and black eyes, claws, and fangs that emit cold glints of light, and instead of fur they have black, shiny leather armor that is very tough. The group is huge, with over ten thousand night heavenly wolves. Each night heavenly wolf is a desolate beast, the wolf kings are ancient desolate beasts, and there is even a wolf emperor with rank eight battle strength. ch. 1242
The three rank eight Gu Immortals remark that the wolf emperor has a wild rank eight Immortal Gu that can conceal traces, that the wolves have them surrounded, and that a wolf group of this scale is not seen often in black heaven. When Edge Link Camp charges into the pack and its giant horn pierces the wolf formation, several hundred desolate beast night heavenly wolves die. The wolf emperor attacks during the battle, and its huge hill-like claws send the Immortal Gu Houses flying. The wolf group’s encirclement tactic is at an incredibly profound level, and even charging ahead the three Immortal Gu Houses cannot break out. ch. 1242
The wolf emperor eventually howls and retreats with the other wolves, because the wolf group has sustained losses that are too huge and it does not want to weaken the group any further. The three Immortal Gu Houses are left extremely damaged, with a great number of Gu worms destroyed, three Immortal Gu among them. Afterwards a Gu Immortal aboard says the houses have already met five night heavenly wolf groups, as well as dragon crocodiles and ghost spirit foxes, and that countless beast groups seem to be trying to kill them. ch. 1242
Wolves at Ice Crystal grotto-heaven
Outside the opened Ice Crystal grotto-heaven, a rank eight Gu Immortal comes out from a pack of night heavenly wolves to greet the Gu Immortals arriving from Soul Pacifying grotto-heaven. Night Heavenly Wolf Lord and Lady Cold Ash leave their accompanying immemorial night heavenly wolves and immemorial soul beasts outside when they enter the palace hall. ch. 1969
