Gu Yue Li Chen

After elders kill a frenzy lightning wolf, a group of healing Gu Masters comes forth. The leading Gu Master bows toward Fang Yuan and the elders and asks them to accept special treatment from the medicine hall. The clan elders recognise him as medicine faction’s Li Chen, nod, and change their expression. They had been courteous to Fang Yuan. Toward this person they keep their emotions and display the authority of a higher-up. The narration states that Gu Yue Li Chen is only a rank two Gu Master. ^{ch. 160}

Fang Yuan says he has no injuries and does not require treatment. Gu Yue Li Chen insists, asking pardon for rudeness but asking that a medicine hall healing Gu Master still do a check up. He is a member of the medicine faction. After Fang Yuan angered Gu Yue Yao Ji to the point of fainting, causing her downfall, Li Chen naturally has hatred toward Fang Yuan. With his position and job, as the leader he cannot ignore Fang Yuan. Fang Yuan thanks him, pats his shoulder, and leaves with a smile. ^{ch. 160}

The elders later take that shoulder pat as politics, a rank two medicine-faction member receiving a public courtesy from the new elder. ^{ch. 160}
