In green robes he appears after Fairy Black Moon kills an ancient desolate ginseng that nearly finished Wu Guang, waves off credit for the rescue, and names his master as the one who saved Wu Guang’s life. He explains that she came out of seclusion to challenge experts, and that Wu Guang’s close relationship with Yin Wu Que can lead them to Crescent Moon Mound. ^{ch. 2167}

With Wooden Statue Lord Wu Guang he watches Fairy Black Moon’s fight against Yin Wu Que, eyelids twitching as punches land. ^{ch. 2169}

After Yin Wu Que admits defeat she asks him who the next opponent is. When Liu Chang and Liu Luo arrive, he and Wu Guang look at each other and stay silent. He moves to mediate when the Liu siblings press Fairy Black Moon, then watches dumbfounded as she thrashes them, and later lets out a held breath once they escape. He feels a headache at her ambition to challenge Huang Jin super tribes after defeating lone and demonic immortals. ^{ch. 2170}

Narration notes that Fairy Black Moon defeated him and Yin Wu Que while challenging experts. Among spectators of her public fight with Liu Chang he stands with Wu Guang and Yin Wu Que, frowns when bedazzlement restricts investigative methods, and sighs in relief after her victory that her reputation will rise even higher. ^{ch. 2188}

Watching Fairy Black Moon fight Chu Du, he and Yin Wu Que wear grim expressions as Chu Du’s combat experience suppresses her, and he gasps aloud when Chu Du closes the gap while she prepares a killer move. ^{ch. 2213}

When Wu Guang thinks Chu Du is admitting defeat, he says something is not right and that his master seems to be in a weird state. After Chu Du wins yet saves her from backlash, he is named among those who supported Fairy Black Moon and still secretly feel admiration toward Chu Du. ^{ch. 2214}
