Chainsaw Mad Demon is named as a later demonic-path talent who would use rank four Chainsaw Killer Centipede, an advancement of rank three Chainsaw Golden Centipede.
On Qing Mao Mountain, Fang Yuan coils rank three Chainsaw Golden Centipede around his right arm until it reads as a dark golden-silver bladed, giant hiltless sword. A watching Bai clan Gu Master has never thought the worm could be used that way. The narration then states that this method was not invented by Fang Yuan. ch. 166
Three hundred years later, a new demonic faction talent, Chainsaw Mad Demon, would use the rank four Chainsaw Killer Centipede, one of the advancement paths of the rank three Chainsaw Golden Centipede. In this life, Fang Yuan using that method at this point is unprecedented. ch. 166
That naming is a future figure in the unrebirthed stretch, not a person on stage beside Fang Yuan. Fang Yuan in this life is not Chainsaw Mad Demon.
Rank four mortal
Later narration still treats him as future tense: Chainsaw Golden Centipede would be used in a different manner in the future by a rank four mortal Gu Master, Chainsaw Mad Demon. Fang Yuan cites that example while arguing that a Gu’s use depends on the Gu Master’s wits. ch. 568
