Blade Demon

Blade Demon creates Sole Blade Gu, a Gu with a strange form kept on a blade, no more than a flash of blade light that eats blades as food while the blade it resides in slowly shrinks to dust; once activated, it ignores defenses of the same level, and Dong Fang Chang Fan states it can reach rank six at most. Blade Demon himself once used a rank six Sole Blade Gu to hold his own, and no one dared trifle with him, until he lost to Butterfly Sword Immortal, died in that battle, and had his blessed land consumed by the victor. The Gu’s recipe was not passed down, but many Sole Blade Gu remain in the mortal realm from gifts Blade Demon handed out while he traveled disguised as a mortal, and Pan Ping’s own copy is treated as one of those gifts. ^{ch. 519}
