Time Gu

After Ren Zu, Great Strength True Martial, and Carefree Wisdom Heart fall into the River of Time and climb onto the nearest floating ice, they find they have already grown old despite only a short time passing. Great Strength True Martial explains that time Gu hides within the River of Time, and warns that the river’s water will wash away their lifespan. Ren Zu reflects that constantly encountering good situations is its own danger, since it can leave a person too immersed in the present to notice time passing. At the center of the river’s truthful floating ice, the group instead finds rules Gu, regulation Gu, and practice Gu, who have been creating that floating ice together; afterward, under time Gu’s effect, the floating ice they make flows away and sinks. ^{ch. 2294}
