Suspicion Gu is named in early Ren Zu lore as one of three Gu left in Rules and Regulation Gu's net with Attitude Gu and Belief Gu.
Jia Fu names Suspicion Gu when he continues the Ren Zu net story after Rules and Regulation Gu have given Ren Zu strength and cost him wisdom. The three Gu still in the net are Attitude Gu, Belief Gu, and Suspicion Gu. ch. 59
They bet that when Ren Zu opens the net they will run in three directions, and that only the one he captures will be subdued. Jia Fu’s aide answers that Ren Zu captures Attitude Gu. ch. 59 Chapter 59 does not describe Suspicion Gu’s form, rank, food, effect, or later fate, and it does not print a Chinese name.
Triad naming
A later recollection keeps Suspicion in the leftover three, while renaming Belief as Trust.
In that later telling Ren Zu grabs Attitude Gu, and the story follows Attitude Gu as a mask of the heart. It does not say what happens to Suspicion after the bet. ch. 87 No later cited chapter names Suspicion Gu as a living Gu outside this Ren Zu leftover triad.
