Appearance and effect

It looks like an onion but is red like fire rather than green or white. Once activated it emits an intense odor; wild beasts that smell it turn irascible, show their wild nature, and become more likely to attack people, which makes onion valley much more dangerous than crescent lake. ^{ch. 496}
