Water Text Gu

In a time path dream realm, Fang Yuan is brought to treat Meng Bi. A servant says his master bought a water text Gu from a merchant who claimed it would let him write beautiful words resembling flowing water. Meng Bi had been called brutish, with brawn but no literary flair, so he paid a high price, wanting to write a beautiful verse that night. ^{ch. 1595}

At first the Gu worked. Meng Bi wrote fifty to sixty texts and was happy. By morning, before he ate, he had diarrhea more than twenty times, and even his tough body was left frail. Fang Yuan judges that water text Gu itself was not the problem: overusing it caused the diarrhea, a side effect nobody could deal with. ^{ch. 1595}
